Kindly refer to ITEF Circular No. 51 dated 6.12.2008 in which the decisions taken in the meeting of the Coordinating Committee of Federations in the Department of Revenue held at Kolkata, on 18.11.2008 was communicated. As per the decision taken in the said meeting a Lunch Hour Demonstration is to be organised jointly by all the affiliates of the COC (Revenue) on 22.12.2008 to mobilise the members and propogate the charter of demands presented to the Secretary (Revenue) by the COC. You are requested to organise the programme in coordination with other affiliates of the COC(Revenue) on the date and pass the enclosed resolution in the meeting, to be sent to the Secretary (Revenue), New Delhi. Our demand for up-gradation of the Grade Pay of Inspectors may be highlighted in the meeting.

You are aware that the All India Federations/Associations under COC(Revenue) in its meeting dated 18-11-2008 decided to observe 'Lunch Hour Demonstration' on 22-12-2008 and 'Day Long Dharna' on 12th January, 2009 in pursuit of our common demands, which were prepared in the said meeting. These demands have already been submitted to the Revenue Secretary and a copy has also been forwarded to the constituent Federations/Associations through e-mail.
We request you to take necessary steps to mobilize all your federating units to make a grand success of agitational programme of 'Lunch Hour Demonstration' on 22-12-2008 and 'Day Long Dharna' on 12-01-2009 and also to demonstrate our strength & unity before the Authorities. In this regard a draft resolution is annexed herewith which needs to be forwarded to the Revenue Secretary, by each & every Unit Secretary of the Organisations under COC(Revenue), on that day and a copy of the same to be forwarded to the Convenors.
We also the Chief executives of the Federations /Associations under the Revenue department i.e. President & Secretary General to participate in the meeting of the COC which is scheduled to be held on 5th January, 2009 at Manishinath Bhawan, NewDelhi, as vital & important decisions with regard to the strategies to achieve our just goals will have to be taken therein. Besides, such a presence will strengthen the Unity amongst various organisations in the Revenue Dept., and that alone can ensure the success.

The meeting of the employees and officers of the Central Excise/Customs/Income tax Department at……………(name of the station) held on 22nd December, 2008 hereby resolves to the request the Secretary, Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, New Delhi to kindly take necessary steps to address to the problems and demands of the employees and officers of the Department of Revenue contained in the memorandum already submitted to him vide the letter dated…………….of the Co-ordinating Committee of Federations in the Department of Revenue and ensure settlement thereof.
